The promoters of this movie bombarded us with taglines comparing this movie to the Bourne Trilogy. They were wrong, oh so very wrong, as this movie bears no similarities to any Bourne movie. Yes, it was made by the same director and it stars Matt Damon, but it is very military-centric, and it is not anywhere near as fast-action as the Bourne trilogy. In many ways, it would be better to compare this movie to something more like ‘Blackhawk Down’ but alas, it has less action than that movie as well. That being said, this is not a bad movie, but might not be what you were expecting, and it certainly won’t be called a ‘Blockbuster’ any time soon. It does have a good degree of military realism, and a fairly well written plot, even if it is a bit implausible at times.
