Yes, I do know that I only have 2 days left. I never have any worries about doing my taxes at the last minute… until this year. I knew they changed almost all the income limits again this year. I knew they increased taxes from almost every bracket. I did NOT know that, in spite of all of these changes, my company’s payroll would figure it was a good idea to leave the withholding exactly the same as last year. Exactly. Luckily, I made more investments this year, and bought a new(er) car, all of which helped to limit the damage. Unfortunately, I still ended up owing money to both state and federal IRS for the first time in at least 7 years. Ouch. Last year I got a nice refund of nearly 300 dollars, and this year I end up owing over half that. Ouch again =(
